We are pleased to stock the full range of paddle strops from Thiers-Issard and we’re
sure there’s one here to suit your taste! All are made of best-quality materials
to provide long, reliable service.
The wood used in all Thiers-Issard strops is European Beech that has been air- and
kiln-dried and the strop facings are all real leather - no synthetics. Each strop
comes with full, illustrated instructions for use so you can be confident of excellent
results every time.
Specially-formulated Thiers-Issard No. 260 razor strop paste. For use with any of
the above strops for razor sharpening and cleaning. Easy to apply.

Model 259 - special double-sided leather paddle strop (bed size each approx. 34 x
217 mm.) with ‘spring cuts’ in the centre to give progressive resistance to pressure.
Supplied in synthetic leather travel case as shown.

Model 276 -
New special extra-large double-sided paddle strop (bed size each approx 76 x 250
mm.). Centre ‘spring-cuts’ to give progressive resistance to pressure. Packed in
protective carton sheath.
Model 444 - New 4-sided leather covered paddles strop (bed size each approx. 34 x
217 mm.) with wooden handle. 4 different-coloured leather grades with grade indicated
at end of handle. Ideal for multi paste and diamond paste stropping regimes. Packed
in protective carton sheath.
Model BSTROP Double-sided leather covered wooden ‘pencil-case’ strop box, made after
the Victorian style. These travelling strop boxes also held the razors and strop
paste - as does this modern take on the original. Bed size each approx. 36 x 200mm
with two different grades of leather. Swivel top is kept in place by a handy latching
mechanism.

VOYSTROP-M
Luxury travel strop. This two-sided strop is identical to the model 259 (above) but
has one face in smooth leather and the added benefit of being supplied in a beautifully-made
case made from best Baragnia leather. The case also features a pocket to house a
razor as shown in the photo below left. Baragnia leather is very supple and soft
and gives a real touch of luxury. Leather colour -

This is the brand-new diamond strop paste system from Thiers-Issard, comprising four
pastes as seen below ranging from 6 to 0.25 micron diamond particle size. Supplied
in the ‘Dia-Drop’ dispenser (left) for maximum economy this system has been developed
by Thiers-Issard in conjunction with leading European sharpening experts and really
does make a difference - just try their razor edges ex-works!

We now have stock of three types of replacement razor handles from Thiers-issard,
in Blonde Horn, Red Stamina and Rams Horn. These are supplied fixed at the base but
undrilled at the pivot so a perfect fit can be made with your razor. Supplied with
fixing pins and collars - other materials coming soon! Suitable for most 5/8 & 6/8
razors.
Blonde horn - varying in colour from almost white to light brown with darker ‘figured’
streaks, blonde horn polishes to a lustrous shine and is semi-translucent.
Red Stamina - laminated Rosewood that has been pressure treated to prevent the ingress
of water - has a really deep shine and attractive graining that these photos do not
do justice to!
Rams’ horn - no two pieces are alike giving your razor a very unique feel - colours
vary from almost white through cream to a near-green shade. This and the riven surface
make this one of the most attractive handle materials available.
