From the Thiers-Issard ‘luxury’ range, this razor features the ‘Spartacus’ logo in gold upon a mirror-polished blade that also has a hand-worked spine in the famous ‘wheatfield’ pattern. The blade is complemented by the rich, dark ebony scales that have been polished to a high lustre. One for high days and holidays!

Another big 7/8 blade, this time in classic round point and again embellished with the ‘Spartacus’ logo in gold, this razor is fitted with blonde horn scales that are highly polished to give a gorgeous translucent finish. A real eye-catcher and bound to be very popular!

This ‘Bijou de France’ (Jewel of France) razor is from the Thiers-Issard historic stable and features an exquisitely-marked blade. The spine is hand-wrought in the classic ‘Flying Tudor Rose’ pattern and the whole set off by  walnut scales. A superb, understated razor that is very elegant indeed and sits so well in the hand.

This is the newly-issued Celebration Silverwing, with the new ‘French Nose’ blade tip. Again, the blade is mirror-polished and unmarked but this time the scales are made of ram’s horn, riven and figured to make each razor totally unique. Complete with special Silverwing box and TI certificate. If you like cool understatement, this is the one for you - a real beauty!

This model features the ‘Spartacus’ logo in gold but the scales are really worthy of a mention. They are a really beautiful transparent deep amber in colour and the photos honestly do no do them full justice - the finish is simply first-class - as you would expect from Thiers-Issard!

An unusual ‘dreadnought’ point certainly makes this razor stand out in any crowd, as does the hand-worked spine and gold-leafed ‘Spartacus’ blade. Add in finely-made and polished bone scales and you have her a razor of great distinction and extremely striking good looks. Not to be missed!

Using the same blade as in the above razor, this 6/8 Historic model again has the Spartacus gold-leafed blade - the difference is in the scales, which here are of Red Stamina, a specially-made laminated rosewood that has been treated specially to resist water damage, a thing natural rosewood is prone to. The effect is superb - far better than the photos. A really good-looking razor!

At the zenith of the Thiers-Issard portfolio, the Celebration Silverwing is a truly outstanding razor. Finally - something a bit special. We were asked by a customer to commission this bespoke 7-day set from Thiers-Issard and the photos here and on the ‘more photos’ page are reproduced by kind permission of the owner. Briefly, the set comprises of seven Le Grelot 6/8 ‘Soleil’ razors fitted with legal ivory scales and lettered, in  Italian, with the days of the week by means of laser-etching. Here is the newly-issued dreadnought blade, very similar to that of the two razors above but with a slightly deeper Sheffield notch to the tip for an even more aggressive stance and now featuring a jimped thumb grip.
