Please note that all scales made from natural materials may differ in patterning and surface presentation from those in the above photos. In particular, bone handles may have slightly darker areas - this is due to the use of unbleached bone and is a normal characteristic of this type of material.

5/8 razors are an ideal blade depth for the beginner but can of course be used by the expert too! Available in a variety of formats and scale materials, there’s a 5/8 to suit all pockets and tastes.

Also in this section out the speciality 2/8 and 3/8 ‘SuperGnome’ razors, ideal for beard shaping and detail work.

11/16 ‘Grelot form’ razors are characterised by their shoulderless grind and deep thumb-notch. The grind profile is extra-thick and so this series are often favoured by men with heavy or wiry beards.

Our 6/8 blade depth razors are varied in point style and we stock numerous different scale materials. To the left is our popular ‘festonne’ spined dreadnought point from the historic range - a very capable razor for the seasoned user. Other point styles are available and we now also stock razors from the ‘luxury’ range, with hand-filed spine patterns. Just click here or on the navbar above to see them!

The 7/8 blade depth series are currently the largest made by Thiers-Issard and are aimed at the experienced user. Points vary - round, square, ‘Dreadnought’ and, to the left on our ‘Dominator’® blade, the inclined nose variant - not one for the faint-hearted! Seen here clad in black horn, the 7/8 blades are avialable in a variety of scale materials.

Here we have the special purchases - razors in various sizes fitted with limited availability scales like the superb blue box elder seen on the ‘Dominator’® to the left. These are strictly limited issue and in many cases won’t be repeated so if you are a collector - or just fancy a really ‘top gun’ razor - don’t hesitate!

The 11/16 model seen to the left is already a firm favourite but we now have two more models (soon to be three with the arrival of the 7/8 blade) that we have decided to call the ‘Basic Black’ range. These razors are intended as a no-frills introduction to Thiers-issard shaving - satin-finished blades with no logo or spine work and plain black plastic scales. The blades themselves are of course every bit as well-made as all TI razors and will suit beginner or expert alike.
