Although this variant of the Thiers-Issard ‘wheatfield’ pattern razor is fitted with blond scales, you could be forgiven for thinking they’re black! It does highlight the great variation in colouring in this type of material, ensuring each one is unique. With the new Spartacus ‘black mark’ and its worked spine, this is a really individual and top quality piece.

This model features the ‘Spartacus’ logo but the scales are really worthy of a mention. They are a really beautiful transparent deep amber in colour and the photos honestly do no do them full justice - the finish is simply first-class - as you would expect from Thiers-Issard!

This 3/8 ‘Super Gnome’ is a true barber’s tool, originally used for hair thinning - but it’s great for detail work if you have a partial or shaped beard. With a heavy grind it’s a versatile razor, and in a size now not often seen. (Name on tang may vary as these are made from historic, already-struck blanks.)

This ‘Bijou de France’ (Jewel of France) razor is from the Thiers-Issard historic stable and features an exquisitely-marked blade. The spine is hand-wrought in the classic ‘Flying Bird’ pattern and the whole set off by  blonde horn scales. A superb, understated razor that is very elegant indeed and sits so well in the hand.

From the Thiers-Issard ‘luxury’ range, this razor features the ‘Spartacus’ logo in new ‘Black mark’ upon a mirror-polished blade that also has a hand-worked spine in the famous ‘wheatfield’ pattern.
