Most definitely one of the most sought-after razors at present being made, the Celebration Silverwing (Ailes d’Argent) is a superb example of the razor-maker’s art. Only 300 have been made and we were very fortunate to be able to obtain some for stock. Each piece is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity which reads thus:

“This numbered razor and its special numbered razor box commemorates the new forging dies and new Carbonsong C135 Carbon Steel used from now on for new production of Thiers-Issard razors. The new Carbonsong C135 steel has a carbon content previously unequalled and this results in a Rockwell hardness of around 64-65 Rockwell in the finished razor and an incredible edge! The new steel (as you will see) takes an absolutely beautiful mirror polish. To show off this wonderful surface we have, by popular request for this commemorative series, left off all marking on the blade hollow itself.

The forging dies of our razors have also been completely reworked with subtle improvements made throughout the blade. This results in a superior grind and a thinner, better cutting blade. Each one of these 300 pieces of this special commemorative razor comes with beautiful Cocobolo wood handles, each inlaid with a numbered silver-coloured wing on its black special razor box. We hope that you enjoy shaving with these razors as much as we have enjoyed making them. Treasure them and pass them on to future generations!

There can be no doubt that here Thiers-Issard have created a truly outstanding razor - photos simply do not do it justice. A really fine piece made to the very highest standards.
